Made for kids ages 2 to 8, run by grown-ups. Here is
exactly what we collect from children, why, and what we will never do.

Dr. Seuss: Learn & Play is made by Be The Monster Inc. under license from Dr. Seuss Enterprises, L.P., for children ages 2 to 8. Grown-ups create and manage the account. Kids just play.
We collect as little as possible from children: no full names, no photos, no location, no contact information. This page explains, in plain language, what we do collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have as a parent or guardian.
A child’s profile can hold a nickname, an optional broad age range, and the character avatar they pick. That’s it. We never ask for a child’s exact age, birth year, birthday, full name, photo, location, email address, phone number, or any other contact information.
When a parent provides an age range, it helps the app suggest age-appropriate books and games. The nickname and avatar simply make sure the right child sees their own activities and progress.
The app also records play sessions: which games and books were played, for how long, and the skills and learning categories each one touched. That record exists for one reason, to power the learning reports parents see in the parent portal.
Like most apps, we also receive basic technical information when the app talks to our servers: things like device platform, app version, and the server logs (including IP addresses) every online service generates. We use it only to keep the service running and secure, never to profile or track a child.
Parents can also set per-profile options, like sound settings. Those belong to you, not your child.
There are no ads in the app. None. No third-party advertising, no ad networks, no sponsored anything.
We do not behaviorally track children, we do not build algorithmic feeds, and we never sell children’s data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone. Ever.
Only a grown-up can create an account, add a child profile, or manage a subscription. Your parent account holds your email address and login credentials. A child’s profile stays separate and minimal.
As a parent or guardian, you can review the information in a child’s profile, update it, delete a profile, or delete the whole account: log in to the parent portal. Child profiles live in the Children section, and account deletion lives under Account. Deleting a profile also ends any further collection or use of that child’s information.
You can also tell us to stop collecting from a child’s profile at any time, without giving up anything else: delete just that profile, or ask us and we’ll take care of it.
If you’d rather have us help with any of this, reach us any time through our support page.
Play-session records exist solely to build the learning reports you see in the parent portal: what your child played, what they read, and how long they spent.
We do not use play data for advertising, we do not use it to build profiles for anyone outside your family, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes.
A small number of companies help us run the service. Google’s Firebase platform signs parents in, stores our data, and hosts the service. Apple’s App Store and Google Play handle subscription billing on their platforms, and RevenueCat keeps subscription status in sync. Stripe hosts the checkout for gift purchases, so we never see full card numbers. Resend delivers our account, receipt, and report emails.
Behind those sit a small set of infrastructure providers that run our background jobs and server monitoring. Each provider is bound to process data only on our behalf and only to provide their service to us. None of them may use it for their own purposes.
We keep account and profile information only for as long as you keep your account. Deleting a child profile takes it out of use immediately. When you delete your whole account, your family’s data is permanently purged from our systems within about 30 days, and residual copies in routine backups age out shortly after.
You can delete profiles or your entire account yourself from the parent portal, or ask us to do it for you through support.
Your family’s data is encrypted in transit, stored with reputable cloud providers, and accessible only to the small set of people who need it to run the service.
And because we collect so little in the first place, there is simply less to protect. That is on purpose.
If we ever materially change what we collect from children or how we use it, we will notify you and ask for your consent again before the change applies to your family.
